Taking the idea of criticism a step future, one can see how people who are raised and educated to criticize will have a tendency to carry on that tradition of negative communication without the awareness to identify and overcome that characteristic.

How to overcome what can be called “negative criticism” as a tradition is found in the book Leadership: Where Business Ethics Begin, as well as a description of the root causes that lead to a life of inappropriate judgement.

They are also found within this blog in discussions focused on the negative criticism and communication found emanating from the November 6, 2024 presidential election.

Compounding this criticism is the fact that within the Judaeo/Christian tradition is the directive that we should “not bear false witness” to a person, people, activity, or event such as what recently occurred with the statement by Jimmy Kimmel as a practical example. In this case, bearing (saying) a false politically motivated statement was known to be false and misleading. 

That is why as stated in past blogs that if “American principled education” is not provided in our homes or in our schools, then inappropriate criticism ends up shaping our society into what we are experiencing today with what can really be called evil actions.

An example of the above as evil emanating as action is the tragic events surrounding the recent assassination of Charlie Kirk.

Without sustained 180-degree vision, one can lead a life of criticism without ever being aware of it. To criticize and be criticized becomes the order of the day.

This is not to say that the act of judging or the effect of observing objectively results in what seems like criticism, but rather the root cause or motivating factor of criticism is what matters.

Purity of one’s heart is all important and is needed to move beyond an environment of criticism.

Steve Jobs was truly a creative powerhouse.  The why of that statement is what a whole spectrum of educators, consultants and business leaders are now trying to understand. The answer is very basic. Steve’s creativity and behavior was a result of having come to realizations that resulted in what I call 180-degree leadership vision. It is a function of the root causes that move us to create something of value within the human condition.
